Team LGD June 2019

Updated: Feb 18, 2021

Wow! Where did the first half of 2019 go? I can't believe we'll be into July tomorrow and officially halfway with this year... and what a busy six months it's been! And, frankly, what a busy month of June it's been for Team LGD! Our ladies have been rocking it!

Violet and Studley made their show ring debut at Sagebrook Farms' schooling show at the Paddock Riding Club. While this show is primarily a hunter jumper schooling show, Violet and Studley made Dressage Queens everywhere proud - A first place and two second places in their very large, competitive walk/trot classes! Awesome!

Jodi with Pierce and Sarah with Singer competed at El Sueno Equestrian's June dressage show. These gals didn't just compete--they brought their A game and then some!

Both teams won all their classes! Jodi and Pierce ended the weekend as High Point Lower Level Amateur and Sarah and Singer finished as High Point Trakehner horse. Amazing!

Bobbie and Butters competed at the Pacific Dressage June schooling show. They finished in the ribbons, placing third in their competitive Training Level Test 3 class. Woo hoo!

And to wrap up the show schedule for the month, Laura and six year old Stella went to the Southern California Equestrian Center June show. They ended up placing 1st and 2nd in their First Level classes... and the 2nd place finish was to Olympian Hilda Gurney. Not too shabby!

And while it's clear, we LOVE to get out there and show, it's not always all about showing... We took some time to learn this June, too. Laura took Wendell and Stella to ride at the Sabine Schut-Kery clinic hosted by Ventura County CDS. What an incredible experience! Sabine offered incredible insight. She is an incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and resourceful teacher. I can't wait to work with her again!

Whew! Did you catch all that? I can't wait to see what the Team accomplishes with the rest of their summer. Stay tuned!
